The Lodge Barna Mustards are the brain child of Galway businesswoman Brigid Brophy, who through shared love of craic & divilment decided to pass her business onto us, camping soul food.
The Lodge Barna Mustards is the brainchild of Galway businesswoman Brigid Brophy, who although retired for several years always likes to have a new project to hand.
And like everything she has turned her hand to this project took off like the cars she rallied all over the country.
Now she has decided to have another crack at retirement and for personal reasons looked around for someone who would take over the mustard business at the steering wheel.
Malachy has worked for the past 20 years a stones throw away from Brigid’s family business, his bars are one street over from her Pharmacy/Fancy Dress shop.
Bonding over the years with a shared love of Craic & Divilment (Brigid managed not to get sued by a leading Tonic Wine brand, Malachy was not so successful)
We have often collaborated together, most recently with Brigid providing a recipe for our family lockdown project Camping Soul Food cookbook.
We are honoured to be trusted with Brigid’s recipes and are really excited to meet all her existing customers with a promise to carry on the business with the same quality of both mustard and craic.
Wishing Brigid all the very best in her retirement and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
The Lodge Mustards include Horesradish, Prosecco & Tarragon, Clove Spiced, Buckie, Galway Hooker Pale Ale Mustard and Dingle Gin, Juniper & Lime Mustard.
We have also branched out to provide mustard as wedding favours and corporate gifts.
Team Buggans is completed by Amelia Walker who designs our labels and Julia Dunin who takes our photos, both are totally amazing to work with and both have the patience of many saints.
